    The Luderick 4 3/4" Captain series reel is a classic in the Alvey family that has favoured the Blackfish/Luderick community for many years. Especially those who prefer the fine art of fingertip control on the spool edge. The ultimate in simplicity of construction, with the absolute minimum of moving parts meaning the Luderick is made to last in the harshest of environments.

    Building on the strength and success of the Stealth range of reels, Alvey has partnered with an Australian polymer manufacturer to develop a new carbon fibre reinforced Nylon spool that has been deployed across its new range of premium reels. The Captain series takes advantage of this new material to provide strength and durability whilst reducing weight and providing increased performance. The spool is supported by dual ball bearings to ensure a free running and smooth operation.

    Featuring Alvey's graphite back and a spool lock device, allowing you to stop the ultra-free running spool when you are changing locations or packing up for the day. This model also incorporates Alvey's Easy Cast System, allowing anglers to switch the reel from right to left-handed in a fast and convenient manner. 

    This Australian made reel is finished off with stainless steel handles accompanied with stainless steel name badges and available in 3 new stylish and durable colours.
