The late‑summer bite is firing across the Coast with warm 23–25°C water pushing bait right into the bays and headlands. Light morning winds and a weak southerly change later in the day mean early sessions are the go.

🌊 Offshore & Rocks

• Bonito, salmon, tailor & rat kings working the washes and headlands.

• Inshore reefs holding snapper on plastics and lightly weighted baits.

• Swell is variable — rock fishers stay high and safe with those afternoon surges.

🐟 Brisbane Water, Woy Woy & Ettalong

• Flathead sitting on the edges of sand flats and channel drop‑offs.

• Whiting chewing well on the run‑in tide — surface lures early, worms/nippers later.

• Bream tight to pontoons, marinas and oyster racks.

• Small tailor busting up bait in the mornings.

🦑 Squid

• Good numbers around Box Head, Half Tide Rocks and kelp beds.

• Natural‑coloured jigs working best in the clear water.

🌤️ Conditions

• Warm days, light winds early, possible southerly puff in the arvo.

• High UV — hats and long sleeves recommended.

• Fish sunrise before the breeze.

• Walk the flats for whiting on poppers.

• Drift plastics for flathead through Ettalong Channel.
