Auto-Release Racing Mini

The Clamcleat® CL257 Auto-Release Racing Mini offers a smart and reliable solution for locking down rudder blades, while protecting them from damage if they strike an underwater obstacle.

 Designed to hold rope securely under load, the cleat automatically releases when the set load limit is exceeded – allowing the rudder to safely flip up. Resetting is quick and simple: just push the cleat back into place. 

• Auto-release design protects rudders and centreboards
• Ideal for dinghies and lifting tillers
• Adjustable cam sets release tension to suit boat and conditions
• Fits most rudder systems and can also be used for centreboard control

 Suitable for ropes 4–6mm in diameter. For larger rope sizes, use a pulley to create a 2:1 advantage.
